Petitgrain essential oil is extracted from the leaves and small branches of the bitter orange tree—a plant with a long history in traditional wellness practices. Interestingly, this same tree also produces two other well-known oils: Neroli from its blossoms and Bitter Orange from the fruit peel.

Known for its fresh, slightly woody and herbaceous scent, petitgrain is commonly used in perfumes, colognes, and body care products. Its balanced aroma appeals to both men and women, making it a versatile ingredient in fragrance blends.

Traditionally, petitgrain has been used as a natural cleanser when applied topically, and it has also been taken internally to support immune and nervous system health.* Today, emerging research continues to explore these and other potential benefits.
